GENERAL RANTINGS ... LIFE & LOVE
Another weekend gone in this city of sin!! Not that I've been indulging in too much sin ... alcohol isn't I'm sure :-).
It looked like it would be another weekend in the middle of North Sea getting covered in mud, grime and rain but thankfully does look it'll get delayed till the middle of next week. So how was the weekend ... to put it simply ... LAZY !!
Updates ... another guy moved into Amsterdam making making the gang 6 now. Unfortunately it just didnt lighten up the weekend thanks to the moronic weather. Even the rain couldn't inspire a bout of rooftop soccer ... the kids in the block all have exams coming up so it was a firm no from their parents. Thus, as it turned out ... the only time pass was sitting in front of my laptop, chatting and orkutting, with bouts of sleep and cooking at ungodly hours!! My cooking touch which seemed to have deserted me the last couple of times seems to be back ... 2 dishes of methi chicken & aloo chechki turned out delicious. Have run out of chapatis though!! :(
Had a refreshingly long talk over GTalk with my closest hubby over the weekend ... feels really nice to see him settling down finally in a land so far away from home. Phone calls back to India also helped settling the inner turbulence ... kept wondering what would life be without all the modern forms of communications ... be it the mobile fone or the internet.
As life rolls on, have started contemplating on the future as well ... not sure i want to continue this through out my life ... feels kind of I need a new challenge ... the steep learning curve I was on since September 2005 seems to have flattened out a little bit.
With the looming work (as per the schedule for September) it does look like its going to be a really long September ... but right now am looking forward to visiting France in the coming month.
No pictures this time ... its all grey around me ... spent a good couple of hours staring at a group of ducks swimming around in the canal in front of my house. Was serene and idyllic!! The days are getting shorter and the temperatures are coming down as well ... as I prepare for the coming winter, desperately feel the need for someone to share my time with and snuggle up to after a long and hard day of work, someone who will listen to take away the pains and someone I can look forward to and care for ... hope the time comes soon. As you can guess from the tone, feeling hopelessly romantic for some reason, thus making the wait for the vacation in December even more unbearable. The rainy weather just added up to the mood.

@kriti - just boil the chicken in some salt water n add it to the veg. when sauteeing it. (tats from experience).
